I am short 33 books right now. I have taken many of your suggestions and have based many of my picks on if I can get them on audio or not. I have 98% of the books on my list on audio already. The books that I am having a hard time find, I think I will end up getting a subscription to audible.com for the rest, because, well, they have everything on audio.
So please keep up the suggestions. I am having a great time looking for the books, however I am quiet sure I will have an even better time reading them :)

I'd take Wicked off the list...but I think I still have it if you want to borrow that one too.
I have it on audio from Alexis. I never read it for book club so I figured I really should KWIM?
If you're going to read The Hobbit, you might as well read the other three Lord of the Rings books. They're all good :)
Add:
The Secret Life of Bees
Glass Castle
Pillars of the Earth
The Friday Night Knitting Club
Daisy Dooley Does Divorce
Firefly Lane!
Have you read Atonement or the Sookie Stackhouse series? I loved Atonement and the Sookie Stackhouse novels are easy reads but entertaining. Hopefully you haven't read any of these and can add them to your lists.
Thanks for all the recs!!! I haven't read any if these so I will have to add them tonight. Mandi you will be Matt's favorite person if you can get me to read all ofthe LOTR series. I just don't think I will hvr enough time to fit them in
Hey! Just discovered this blog when I went to your Lucy update, what a great idea! I have a couple more recs. If you like Wicked, try Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by the same author. Also, since I saw you have a Vonnegut theme, I wanted to add my fav (which is not really a novel, but not quite not) Timequake. Lastly, Reading Lolita in Tehran is really interesting - part biography, part literature analysis - good stuff. Good luck and have fun!
